
Registered Person Code of Conduct (RPCC1) A ‘Registered Person’ is an individual who continues to satisfy the requirements of a Certification Scheme Specification. Registered persons are subject to ongoing monitoring and surveillance and must abide by the Code of Conduct Registered Persons: Are subject to terms and conditions and the requirements of the Certification Scheme Specification. Acceptance of an application under one particular scheme does not imply acceptance on any other scheme. Terms and Conditions All registered persons: Must uphold the reputation and standing of The Security Institute and the profession. They should act with honesty and integrity in all aspects of their work. Must not have provided false or misleading information or engaged in plagiarism or failed to comply with the terms and conditions of the application process or requirements of the certification scheme. Are advised that certain sectors such as childcare or security require full declarations in respect of criminal records Must inform the Institute of any criminality issues, information on any criminal convictions or prosecutions pending which may impact on the final decision on certification and inclusion on the National Qualifications Register Must not use certification in such a manner as to bring the Certification Body into disrepute, and not to make any statements regarding certification which the Certification Body may deem misleading or inaccurate Must discontinue the use of all claims to certification that contains any reference to the Certification Body or certification upon suspension or withdrawal of certification, and to return any certificates issued by the Certification Body without delay Must not use the certificate in a misleading manner or make claims regarding certification outside the scope for which certification has been granted. Must not make inappropriate references to the certification or misleading use of certificates and marks or logos in publications, catalogues etc. Must ensure all information submitted is correct and that accompanying certificates and other documents (if any) are verifiable Must assist the Security Institute in making whatever enquiries it deems necessary to verify the information supplied. Must cooperate with The Security Institute during the re-certification process to ensure that all qualifications remain valid. The Security Institute may investigate or assist with the investigation into complaints in respect of the behaviour, performance and activities of a Registered person where such behaviour, performance or activities may reflect negatively on the Certification Body or certification scheme, or where such behaviour, performance or activity is deemed to be in conflict with the ethics and ethos of the Certification Body it may result in withdrawal of certification and removal or suspension from the National Qualifications Register and legal action if necessary. All certificates remain the property of the Security Institute and must be returned on request |
