National Register of Approved Trainers The Security Institute National Register of Approved Trainers (NRAT) provides details of a network of approved trainers who are available to deliver courses and carry out assessments (including Recognition of Prior Learning) leading to Institute qualifications. While these trainers work independently of the Institute, for inclusion on NRAT they must go through a rigorous quality assurance process. This includes vetting, confirmation of tax compliance and appropriate insurance. Trainers have current relevant qualifications at University level and subject matter expertise. They must adhere to a code of conduct, attend regular upskilling and comply with the terms and conditions of registration before being entered onto the Register. NRAT trainers are subject to the policies and procedures of the Institute for continuous monitoring of trainer and assessor quality and compliance with certification criteria. View the NRAT here
