The Health and Safety Authority

The HSA is the national body in Ireland with responsibility for
securing health and safety at work. It is a state-sponsored body, operating
under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005 and it reports to the
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
Private Security Authority - PSA

The Private Security Authority, which was established pursuant to the Private Security
Services Act 2004, is the statutory body with responsibility for licensing
and regulating the private security industry in Ireland.
NSAI

The NSAI is Ireland's Standards body. NSAI facilitates the development of voluntary
standard documents which manufacturers or service providers may use as an
aid to meeting safety or customer requirements.It is also a leading supplier
of product and systems Certifications Services, both domestically and
internationally, and is the provider of Legal Metrology services in Ireland.
The NSAI has offices throughout Ireland and in the United States where its
standards and certification services are provided on a commercial basis.
CoESS

CoESS has been founded in 1989 by a joint initiative of several national associations
of private security companies belonging to EU Member States. From its start,
CoESS has therefore been a European umbrella organisation for national
private security associations. This form of affiliation remains CoESS' major
objective and has been confirmed in the newly adopted Statutes(CoESS' Extraordinary General Assembly, Istanbul 27 September 2002, revised Corfu 26 September 2003).
FETAC

As the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland, the
Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) gives people the
opportunity to gain recognition for learning in education or training
centres, in the work place and in the community.
An Garda Siochána

Ireland's National Police Service - has its headquarters in the
Phoenix Park, one of the largest municipal parks in Europe, on the western
side of Dublin city.
